One day, my mum was rushing me to get ready for school quick.. So much so that in my hurry to get my socks on, I tore them. Thing is, cos I was in such a hurry, I didn't have time to change socks. And since I had lab that day, no socks was no go. Plus, I never thought that the hole was so huge. So I went to school wearing socks like that.
OK yeah I know it looks obscene. I've been informed by more than one person, those fortunate enough to have seen my prettie foot in this state of undress.
Nehmind... be glad... praise the heavens... that at least my feet don't stink. If not, I can't even begin to imagine the damage that might have been inflicted should a waft of that unique foot-fragrance drift up the nostrils of any of those near me.
They would probably be too polite to say anything, but will just look around suspiciously.
The ruder ones will of cos, after a while, start pinching their noses and stare at people around them.
And then the even ruder ones will go, "Something stinks around here...."
And then of cos, how would I deal with these abominable imbeciles? I will say, "I swear.... I smelled that same smell, albeit much stronger, when I walked past you just now! Would you like to go to the toilet to have a sniff around yourself and check out where that smell is comin' from?" And then of cos, NO WAY am I gonna let u find out it's actually comin' from my feet. =)
Anyway, remember the other day, I said I had this lab on CNY eve?! And I was damn pissed? Yea this is proof that even the usually most crowded area with the highest level of human traffic was devoid of homosapien presence. With the exception of the camera-wielding one of cos.
Someone, please do me a favor and send this picture to the sadistic prof. Do not mention my name of cos. Say it came from an unnamed ambassador for Undergrads' rights.
But of cos, what made it all worthwhile was this!
That was our gel, during the process of the experiment, being handled by this machine they call the "belly dancer". Do not ask me why. Biologists have this penchant for giving weird names to perfectly normal things. If you need an example, think Western, Northern, Southern and Eastern blots. And of cos, we have these hedgehog proteins in our bodies, the most famous hedgehog protein was named after the most famous hedgehog in gaming history. It is called the Sonic Hedgehog.
Like I said, do not ask me why biologists are so weird. Maybe some chemical used during some experiments had given them brain damage. Maybe I'd be like that in a few years! *HORRORS*
Anyway, that's our gel! The completed picture of the blood-sweat product of our 2D gel electrophoresis! Those black spots are protein spots, separated by their pIs and sizes. Each spot represents the composition of one type of protein. Our gel was so well-resolved that the prof took it to show BOTH classes having lab that day! OK this picture might not have done justice to our work, but ours was the best in the entire lab session. =)
Shiok. This is the first time a prof likes my work so much. =)

Oh by the way.. they are twins. =) And that thing I used to hang them for display is this card holder souvenir I got from DSTA at the iGlobal fair.
The other day, my mum was clearing my display cupboard up..
It was then that I realised how huge the KS pet family had grown to be.
Sorry.. I sent some of them for a bath.. so that was when I was drying them..

KS is a great mum to hundreds of pets. YAY!
heee oh and when clearing up the table, I discovered these really pretti boxes..
And guess what?! They contain cookies!!! Such prettie packaging... of cos the cookies taste just as heavenly. Wonder where my momma got them from???
ok gtg... tired after one entire day of mahjong with my grandma and brother and aunt. So far, only winnings. Nothing lost yet. =) That's why I love playing with them.
Cos ah.. u see.. u play with those who really know how to play, they will all 做牌, make nice nice big big 台s before they 胡. Cos they dun wanna 胡 small 胡.. no point. But when u play with those who dunno ah... walau! They even 屁胡 oso dare to 胡 lor!!! WAH and meanwhile my 大四喜 and 大三元 awaits. And got no chance to come out... cos these idiots 一台两台 oso come and anyhow 胡. Mine is big big 台 leh!!!
So playing with my relatives... WAH my first round alreadie I got 清一色! SHIOK. Think maybe cos they dunno I know how to play, so they let their guards down. Haha. Then I oso got a lot of 槓. Easy money. 槓 money even more than if u win 一台 or 两台... hahahaha okok need to sleep... tmr go win more! 呖咕呖咕新年财!!!

I was draggin my tired and drained body back to school.. and I was looking around me.. and KNS I realise... NO ONE ELSE WAS IN SCHOOL!!
So like what Gracie said, today if u see anyone in NTU, he/she's most probably from the School of Biological Sciences.
WALAU even the Can A carparks were emptyyyyy!! That's to show the extent of festiveness around the school.. no one is in it!!
So anyway, this morning I had to go for some ancestor worship thing. But cos of SCHOOL I had to go much much earlier than my grandma and uncles and aunties.. so my dad sent me there.
I had to wake up damn damn early... so I was really friggin tired, especially after battling online sudoku till the wee hours of the morning.... so I was napping in the car. Lying around and messing up my hair and clothes.. I'm glad none of u ever saw how I sleep in my dad's car. But anyway, that's not the point.
So we were cruising on the highway. And then, suddenly, my dad saw a highway patrol at the road shoulder up front! He realised I did not have my seatbelt put on properly!!!! So he was really kancheong... WALAU wat if later those poolicee see my daughter sleeping like a pig like that and never buckle up properly?! WAH sure kena minus 10 marks liao... this time jialat.
Then wah I tell u.. he did the smartest thing he's ever done in his whole entire life.
He tried to get me to wake up and buckle up!! By trying to knock me out from my dreamworld!
By... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Honking the horn in the car!!!!!
WAHHH so smart rite! He honked the horn cos he know I will surely wake up. He also probably thot the policemen in the highway patrol will get so mesmerised by his cute daughter that even after THEIR attention was caught by the honking of this weird car on an empty road, they will pretend not to see her semi-buckled seatbelt. Yea that must be the case.
Thank god the policemen probably thot some kid was trying to be farnie so he could say GONG XI FA CAI to the policemen.. so they decided to ignore our lone car.
Yea that said, I guess it's time for reunion dinner.. OHHH SHARKS FIN!!!! Char siew and sio bak... and bbq chicken and duck!!!! YUUMMMILICIOUS!!!

it is 1.35am now.. i'm friggin tired.. but still struggling to complete my tutorials. wish me good luck.

HAHA this is really farnie.. my tuition kid Jonathon again. I was trying to teach him some 成语. Don't ask me why they have to learn 成语s in P3.. yeah I know it's really madness. But my job was to make sure he learn whatever MOE wants him to learn well. So I was trying to teach him.
So there was this 成语, 深不见底. I broke it up into small parts so it could be easier to understand for him. I asked him what 深 mean.. he told me "deep". CORRECT! Wah my boy so smart. Good good. And then I asked him what 底 mean.. he told me "bottom". SMART BOY! And then I didn't have time to ask him what 不见 means. His confidence level was alreadie very high. So he didn't wait for me to say anything. "I know! 深不见底 means the water is so deep that you can lose something inside! Because 不见 means lost!"
And then that was not the farniest.
After that, I was trying to teach him this other 成语, 井底之蛙. The English explanation in the 词语手册 was "Someone with a limited outlook". So in order to explain it, I asked him if he knew anyone like that, someone with a limited outlook. He immediately nodded vigorously. "我有! 我有一个同学, 他有很多眼镜. 他有三个! 所以他一天戴这个, 明天就戴另外一个."
I was listening intently. And then I asked him... "那为什么你这个同学是个井底之蛙呢?"
"因为他有很多眼镜啊! 所以他有 limited outlook 啊!"
HAHAHAHAHA I was laughing so loudly I think his dad must be wondering what's going on during tuition.
So this Chinese teacher had to be an English teacher for 10 minutes to explain to boy boy what "limited outlook" means. Hahahaha
Anyway, on thursday, Gracie brought cookies for us!!!!
WALAU and this greedy pig hogged them all. Even sleeping oso she dowanna let go of the cookies =(
I wanna eat!! Walau I purposely skipped lunch so I could have more stomach space for cookies..

This morning, I went to LWN library for a while, to check out some texts. And then as I was leaving, kns.. kena stopped by this girl.
"Hey sorry, can I check your bag? I just lost my laptop."
Please lor! Like, my bag was FLAT and CRUMPLED. Does it look like it could be holding a lappie!? But never mind.. let her check. Don't let her check later she say I take.. then I jialat. Even tho I was in a terrible hurry. I let her dig thru my stuff. Pissed off deep inside. Arghh
And then later I went to library 2 to check some more texts. KNS the minute I stepped in this security guard stopped me.
"Please swipe your matric card in the card reader. Cos recently there had been a lot of thefts, we are tracking the usage of the library."
WALAU so mafan to even go to the library now!!!!! ARGHHH who so boliao keep stealing things! And who so dumb keep leaving valuables unattended?! Make our lives difficult!
Anyway, went for the Iglobal fair in NY audi today! YAY saw SOO many goldilocks eye candies!!!! That Yoke Peng ah... very irritating leh. Keep pulling me to see the US booth cos got this really cute guy over there.. hahahaha
So now I'm considering 2 options... University of Washington, under GIP, and Western University in Ontario, under INSTEP. Both seem to be famous for their Bio programs! Hope I will get accepted. Hee
Just finished watching Star Idol. Think it's really quite standard! The whole idea of the drama... but! HOW COME BRYAN IS ELIMINATED!?? Walau!! Chengxi better not get eliminated!!!! OHHH did I tell u all.. Hobbit told me, Chengxi is from NTU!!! Some engineering fac.. forgot which one. Haha. YAY hope I can spot him in sch soon!
I dunno if this is also counted as 将功赎罪.. but yeah this time he didn't do anything wrong.

OK it's his fault. No, really. I mean, which kid puts a Star Wars figurine on his table during tuition?! And it's really damn cute. I mean, there's this level at the back.. so you can toggle it and make the figurine wield his sword.
And to make things worse, that was not all.
There was this other figurine there.. a hamtaro one.
And while kiddy was doing his work, I was damn bored. So I was trying to make Darth Vader chop of the ears of hamtaro by moving the level up and down. Actually, I was trying to hide it from the kid. 儿童不宜. But somehow, he caught sight of it. And that darn kid smiled sneakily to himself. And then he shot me a knowing glance.
I'm never going back there for tuition. I swear.
OK maybe, until I got a rich sugar daddy, I'll have to endure the lil kiddo. SIGH
But he's really damn sweet recently. Serious.
You know what he asked me on Monday?! Almost moved me to tears....
He asked me, "你的考试考得怎么样? 还可以吗?" And then he looked down back his work again. HAHA soo cute! At times like that, you forget all the times he's pissed you off when he forgot his work... when he doesn't pay attention.... etc. =D
Anyway, I'm really starting to get back my drive! YAY! It's back to JC-dom for KS. YAY I'm becoming like Jing! YES YES YES!!!! *jumps in glee*
Tmr there's this virology presentation during tutorial. We had this journal to read, and then we are supposed to comment on the results. SIGH we are so dead. We had a discussion just now, and I haven't really finished reading thru the article yet. *paiseh* So I read thru just now, and OMG I realised a few of the points we brought up during the discussion were invalid!
SO HOW NOW?! Die la!
I think worse come to worse, we will juz tell the prof what one of the jokers said during our discussion lar. "Comment? Comment what?! Nothing to comment leh!" "Yar lor.. liddat sure die. Everything looks fine leh.. really like nothing to comment on leh!"
Then someone came out with this bright idea. "The journal article from Korea one rite?! I know lar.. liddat swee lar. OK our comment shall be: The journal results had questionable origins!"
Went to MoS yesterday.... it was an NUS hall bash... and Ruoling got us to go. So Jing and I went.. mainly to check out this superclub.
Cheap tickets, and NO QUEUE! WOW! YAY!

That's the platform.. the arena. Usually for dancing... but this time for the pageant. OK I dunno any of the people there.. I'm mainly there to check out MoS without having to endure 2-3 hours of queue.. So yeah.. waiting for a while for the pageant to be over ain't gonna hurt me none.
Those two on stage are the best looking people in the pageant. The girl's this really hot Turkish girl and the guy's the best looking around. There was this other really hot French girl as well.... really hot. Haha I was drooling all over.. yandaos and chiobus.
See those huge pokey things on top of the arena? I was telling Jing there's this switch.. if people dance terribly the management can press the switch and the things will fall on those people.

There were many many rooms in MoS.. some of them were really exclusive... not for us. Some were nice.. some had themes..
This is the retro room.. Jing hated this.. she said it's all techno-ish and beng-ish.. hahahaha
That's the Pure room.. really nice and comfy.. really private as well if u prefer. There are these curtains around these couches. And also they have these really plushy bean bags.. cool!
And the lights change color too! The music's nicer than the main arena as well!! But I think this room had more of an executive target. Not for those teens.
I dunno.. somehow, I cut myself somewhere and never realised until we were about to leave to meet Venus outside. At first I thought I dirtied my hands with ketchup.. but later realised it's *screams* BLOOD!!!!
I was whining, "这是我一生中第一次流那么多血 leh!!!" And Jing retorted, "Then 你每个月流的是什么?" Me, "Oh yar hor.." haha btw this is the cleaned up version alreadie.. at first there was more blood.
OK the music at MoS wasn't all that good.. or maybe it was the DJ that night.. But OMGGGG u noe what?! The reason I never regretted going yesterday, other than the really cool interior, was the crowd!!!!

It was really an adrenaline-pumping experience to be there yesterday... WHOA!
Let me continue from the top. So we went out to meet Venus. And outside, she was queueing. And then suddenly, there was this loud roar from afar!!!
I know that roar.. my blood was thumping, my adrenal glands were working overtime.. there was this heady sensation making me feel faint..
A really powerful babyyyy was heading my way....
No no wait a minute.. make that TWO babies.... my lovely darlings.....
And then they turned into MoS...
TWOOOOOO friggin Ferrari F430s!!!!!!!! OH MY GAWDDDDDDD
That's the latest ferrari model by te way... and I saw not just one... but TWOOOO together.. I think they were friends!!!!
And OH MAN that was not all!! After a few minutes... a Lambo Gallardo came!!!!
I think I'm gonna faint. Haha I saw this room inside MoS when I went in again after an hour, and that room was closed to public and it was screening a soccer match... we called it the Ferrari and Lamborghini room. Exclusive.
Anyway, we decided we wanted to go some nice pub to wait... taking far too long.

And then finally, the queue started to let up around 12+pm. We decided to go back. And WOOHOO we saw this Maserati at MoS!!!!
I tell u ah.. the MoS people are really discriminating.. those hottt cars are parked in a separate exclusive car park away from the rest of the cars.. and they get VIP entrance, no need to queue. *sigh* what to do? People got money we no money mah..
And then I saw these two ang mohs negotiating with the security guards cos they wanted to take a picture with the cars.. but the security guard said no go.
So you see two hunky ang mohs whining, "But those cars are so f*cking cool!!!" and that indifferent guard shaking his head.
Do it the Singaporean way mah... while the 2 ang mohs were whining away, I saw this Singaporean man going right up to the car and taking a pic with his cam phone. By the time the guard saw, it was too late. Haha
And then we went in to MoS again. This time, we saw this quite famous Singaporean actor with his gay partner. Haha. Oh one thing about him.. he's in his forties but looks and dresses 20-ish! OMG the wonders of botox.... sighhh
We left at around 1.45am. Wanted to leave earlier but the bag counter was really packed. So I went out to wait for Venus to claim her bag. And then I saw that the Maserati was gone, and the Gallardo had taken over its parking lot. Or so I thought.
Then I looked closer... and FREAK! I realise that it's a different Gallardo... of the same color! WOWWEEE that makes it TWO F430s and TWO Gallardos and ONE Maserati in ONE night!!! KS went home a happy KS.
Now I'm watching entertainment news again. Guess what?! A monk is going on enews! He's from Tibet. He has hair.. and he practises Buddhism. But he wears Prada and all.. and he's this really hip icon.
He's trying to transform Buddhism to make the younger generation accept it! He wrote this book.. about Buddhism.. and it all seems to make so much sense. All the teachings... about being contented with all that you have.. hmmm we should all practise these in our everyday lives.
He used to own a business and was damn rich, but one day he saw this kid sitting on the street begging.. and he was so touched he gave up everything to be a monk. A modern monk, trying to reach out to the younger generation. Hmm.
OK enough about all that.
Now let me tell u about this interesting chat I had with this Finnish pal of mine. I got to know him cos he was thinking about coming to NTU for an exchange. But in the end, he chose to go to Hong Kong. So he's now in Hong Kong.
Yesterday, he was chatting with me. He said he found the Hong Kong people weird. Maybe it's the Chinese in general.. he said he found them to be very reserved towards strangers. He said he found Singaporeans are better.. more open and Westernised.
I found it really strange.. cos all along I thought Singaporeans were also really reserved towards strangers. They get suspicious when strangers chat with them and try not to talk too much. Or is it just the Chinese? I dunno.. but I know for one, I do not really enjoy chatting with strangers much. I remember there was once, this ah pek saw me reading my notes on the bus and started chatting with me all about Biology. I was a bit irritated.. but I entertained him nonetheless.. but not really willingly of cos. And then later I found out he works at the Biopolis.. and I wanted to knock my head off for not chatting with him more.. KNS he could be my future boss!!!!
Anyway, forgive me for digressing. But.. back to the topic on Singaporeans being more open and less reserved. I kept telling him noo.. Singaporeans are really quite a reserved bunch too. But he kept telling me no.. Singaporeans are much better than those Hongkies.
I was really puzzled.. what made him say that?!
Finally, after much wheedling, he told me... he chatted with many Singaporeans like me last time cos he wanted to find out more about Singapore cos he wanted to come here for exchange. And then he said, many of the girls, after he started chatting with them, got all excited and asked to meet him. They even wanted to make out with him.....!!!!!
Oh my god... is this the same Singapore I live in? I dunno... what's wrong with these girls?! Sure SPGs.
Thank god my friend was a decent guy... he said he doesn't have the license to do any of that with those girls.. cos he alreadie has a girlfriend. Nice guy. =)
Anyway.. now I'm watching 阿雅 on entertainment news... Lee Hom is teaching her to sing! Damn farnie... 阿雅 said it's a ploy by her colleagues.. cos they know she like Lee Hom.. but asking Lee Hom to teach her to SING is like "和一个自己暗恋很久的男生出去约会, 回家才发现牙齿上有菜渣."
HAHA but I must say.. 阿雅 is really damn farnie and cute.. but she really can't sing for nuts. HAHA poor Lee Hom.. gotta keep trying of how to put it across in a nice way.. that she can't sing. HAHA. Finally, for this part of 心中的日月, she was singing damn nicely alreadie.. then suddenly, halfway OFF KEY! HAHA poor Lee Hom... he kept saying, "Err.. 差一点点啦." Haha and then the people beside shouted, "差很多好不好?" OMG hahahaha
You know.. sometimes kids can be so cute and sweet. HAHA
I have this tuition kid Jonathon, he lives juz a few floors below me. I tutor him Chinese. He's juz P3 this year. You know.. kids.. boys especially, they are so playful. Always don't like to do homework. So I always have to scold him during tuition. Cos you know, Chinese, don't practise will never improve. So if he don't do his homework, there is no way I can help him. I try to make it more interesting for him, but still muz do homework rite?
So yesterday, he made me really really angry.. cos I took so long preparing his homework for him and he tore out the page and pretended he lost it. So I was scolding him. And then he kept quiet. But cos I was sick, I couldn't really scold him much oso.. I was having a sore throat and I was coughing so much.
And then suddenly, he did the unthinkable.
He ran out of his room... and then he took this box of tissue back into the room.. and then he took out a piece of tissue... and then he quietly put it down in front of me... and then he went back to do his work!
OMG! I was at a loss for words. Like, a minute ago I was still scolding him.. and then he did something so nice... I feel so bad! =(
SIGH I should try to be better to kids rite?! PROVIDED HE DOES HIS HOMEWORK LAR!
HEEHEE Oh yar.. this morning.. I was taking 179 on my way to school. As usual, I had my ipod plugged in and I was listening to S.H.E. And then as I was reaching Can A, I took off my earphones to prepare to get off the bus... and at that moment... it was SUCH a coincidence..
TV mobile was showing CNA broadcast... and at that moment, they said this, "She tried to cover it with her hands..." "She's also tried to cover it with a lunchbox." "She's also tried to cover it with newspapers.." "But now it's confirmed. It's final." "Angelina Jolie's PREGNANT! With Brad's BABY!!!"
OMG *sob*
I waited so long for Brad to get divorced from Jennifer Aniston... now he's a DADDY! OMG! Haha but thank god it's with Angelina Jolie.. cos I like her quite a bit too. YAY!
I mean, that's even bigger news than that Gigi and Ekin breaking up rite?! Brad's a DADDY! OMG! Haha can't believe it. Wish them all the best!
Anyway, back to TV news. I was watching Channel 8 news juz now... and WOW! Researchers just found out that drinking 1 or 2 cups of coffee a day actually improves your memory! So hey! People! All be coffee addicts like me!! YAY!
OK before I end, gotta do a small ad for our dear fren Kayan. Yesterday... I was sick and I was waiting for tuition.. And I sorely missed my bed. So I wanted to go home straight after school. And Ms Kayan dragggeeddd me ALL THE WAY to Chinatown... to see her boyfren sell mandarin oranges. Best thing is, cos I was sick, I couldn't even eat. -__-
YAR anyway rite.. she's helping to sell mandarin oranges. So if any of you wanna buy, tell me ok? I will tell her.
Anyone wanna watch Memoirs of a Geisha? I remember in my JC days, Jing, Ja, Chan and I would go to Kino (or was it Borders? Can't remember). Anyway, there was this book.. about Geisha. I'm not sure if it was Memoirs of a Geisha. But it was close. They had these pictures. Of real Geishas. And the book was about how the Geishas were trained, and the things they do. Ja was SO fascinated. She was SO high.. hahahaha
Do you know.. Madame Butterfly was the story about a world-renowned Geisha who visited the States and fell in love with this American?
HMMM so what makes up a Geisha? Maybe watching the trailer will tell you more.
Yeah... and I was watching TVBS this morning.. yeah e-news. Cos Doris was telling me got my 鄭元畅 dancing... 牛奶 was teaching him how to dance. So I went to watch. And then I saw this very interesting clip... another Memoir of another Geisha. I think Verce posted it before once.. haha but it took really long to load. So here's the one I found. For my friends. If u havent watch it before, do watch it.. no regrets. I think everybody's talking about it now! HAHA
Had the Chicken Fan-tastic burger today for lunch!! OMG it's absoluely delicious! 我的天啊! HEAVENLY! Really... you won't regret having tasted it trust me... soo juicy and tender the chicken... OH anyway, I watched Grey's Anatomy. GAWSH. I found it really good. Jialin said there's this other med drama from the States that is much more realistic.. but anyway, it's only shown on cable. So now, I gotta stay contented with Grey's Anatomy.
You know what made Grey's Anat so absorbing? I dunno how to explain it... maybe it's the conflicting emotions in the show. Should you follow the patient's wishes and do something that is not medically beneficial for him/her? Or should you follow your doctor's instincts and do what's best for the patient medically? It's depicted in many scenarios.
I found this patient's case really disturbing.. to save his life, he gotta undergo this operation. But if he undergoes that operation, he would almost certainly lose his memory... his memories of his loved ones.... his memories of the things that had happened to him so far.. Your memory is what makes you up. Without memories, you are like a clean slate of paper without your soul. Would you rather die, or would you rather lose everything you can remember of people who were once important to you? Tough choice.
Actually I onli watched half-half.. I was toggling the remote between 张三丰 and Grey's Anat. So yar.. I may have gotten some stuff wrong. But nonetheless, I felt it was disturbing.
AND OH YES! I absolutely ABHOR the ASIAN stereotype they ALWAYS put up in these US dramas to give an equal distribution of race.. like.. that Korean/Jap girl is how ugly lar! She's juz the typical bookwormish Asian those Americans see.. and she has typical Asian slit eyes and black hair.. and yes like how Jialin explained to me, she onli noe how to go by the book, but has low EQ. That's how those US tv people think of us Asians.

K so updates.. what's KS been up to these few days?
Hmm first day of school, I brought my mum's voice recorder in an attempt to record the lecture down. Cos my mum went for this course end of last yr, and she bought that recorder for that course. Now she has no use for it.. so she passed it to me. I was SO HAPPY I thought I got a new toy to play with! And then WALAU first lecture of the year I realised our prof was Rupert.. KNS tok so soft.. as if I can hear lah! Can't even hear, how to expect recorder to pick it up?! WALAU!!!
And then yesterday, I decided WAH I've had ENOUGH of my messy hair! I didn't wanna have to tie it up before I go to school everyday, so I went to rebond my hair! HEEHEE ok I have lab.. so I would have to tie it up sooner or later. BUT dont care.. rebond for CNY! YAY!!!
And today, I went to send my brother off in Tekong!!!! WOOHOO! I woke up at 5.30am (!!!!) to send him off!! WALAU my beauty sleep!!!
Anyway, that place was really not quite wat I expected it to be.. it looked damn nice! You know.. I was expecting this kampong place to appear before my eyes as I was in the vessel. And then OMG this chalet-looking place appeared before my eyes! It's got this fantastic sea view, plus a really prettie building with nice red tiles and all.. DAMN NICE LA! Machiam Aloha Tekong sia!!
And then we took a tour around in a lil tour bus.. really damn nice! Ok maybe not as nice as chalet.. but.. not like... scary. Yearmates.. rmr our first training camp in that rundown bldg? Yeah it's WAY better than that kinda condition. And the food.. ok it was not oishii... but it was not that bad.. they had taiwan sausage and chicken... and chin chow! Nice!
I used to think the army really do not do much to make boys become men.. but today I guess I realised I had to rethink that.
You know.. my brother never did any housework at home. None at all. Not cleaning the house, not ironing, not washing his clothes, nothing. But I guess, SAF is my free maid training agency. =D
And then, wow you know.. juz now as we had lunch with my brother for the last time before he entered army.. we were eating in the cookhouse. He actually took the initiative to queue for the food for my grandma and after that clear the table for us! OMG! I was staring at him in shock... and today was juz the first day.
And then when we wanted to help him ask his commanders to take care of him for the day cos very unfortunately, my brother fell ill one day before he entered.. my brother said very firmly, "NO 我不要靠关系, 我要靠实力!" WAH 我的小弟长大了! I have trust in him.. he will grow up to be a fine man. =)
We spent almost the entire day at tekong.. the travel time alone took damn long!
And then when I reached home and took a shower, I went out to celebrate the first 21st birthday of the year... Mr Yan's birthday! He treated us to a Kublai Khan dinner! Pictures later.. I'm damn tired.
Oh ya.. these few days.. kept watching entertainment news on TVBS asia. There's this new boyband in Taiwan.. a four-member boyband. The band name is three worded.. but I cant remember what it is exactly. Anyway, there's this guy in the band who's from Brunei.. and OMG he's FRIGGINNNN cute! He looks like Lee Hom.. but with a BETTER figure! He used to be a model from Brunei, and then he went to Singapore, and then to Taiwan. He's Bruneian Chinese, but he speaks funny Mandarin cos he speaks hokkien at home. Very cute. Hahahaha
OH btw.. do u noe there are NO pubs/clubs/bars in Brunei? No alcoholic drinks as well! It's BANNED! Interesting. I learned of it from 'Lee Hom'!

But anyway, u noe the diff between idol dramas made to promote guys and those made to promote gers? Those made to promote guys will always have ugly gers. Those made the promote gers like S.H.E will always have ugly guys. HAHA u look at the guys in 真命天女! Other than the Zhenghao who looks decent, the rest are onli mediocre-looking. Not fantastic.

I started off the new year not really fantastically.. I went to the wake of Mr Chiam's daddy in the morning. He passed away from a massive cardiac arrest, in Mr Chiam's words. It was a longstanding problem apparently.. and according to Chiam, the paramedics and the doctors had done all they possibly could.
Chiam was satisfied with the way the Singapore healthcare system responded to his father's case. But seriously, when my granddad was ill, I was totally disappointed with the healthcare system here. Not the doctors and nurses. It was not their fault. It was really obvious the hospitals here are seriously understaffed and the staff overworked. And so they made many mistakes. So the crazybatch went to Jorin's place for a steamboat dinner yesterday!!!!! We met at 4 to shop for the ingredients, and then we went to her place to cook! YUM!!!!
As usual, we bought too much food. SIGH but the food was really good!!!! So rather than wasting the food, we played 终极密码 to decide who finishes the food!!! And after that, there was still tons of tidbits and ice cream.. WAH grow fat liao..... =(
After that, we went to play mahjong at the basement!!!!

After playing for a while, we realised there was not gonna be an end to it.. cos we were all aspiring tai tais.. we all became mahjong addicts overnight!!! 碰碰碰!!!! 吃吃吃!!! After all... 有得吃就吃嘛... 不是吗? Wendy? Yes?? 吃了就有着落了.. 不是吗???? HEEHEE I feel so evil!!! HAHAHAHA

We played till 5am!!!! MADNESS and then my brains were gone. I was living on the pure adrenaline rush of 胡-ing. SIGH thing is... WALAU at first I so totally got no luck!!! Then when I got 2 straight 胡s, one of them a 自摸.. they decided to end the game and play bridge!!! AHHH!!!!!! HAHA my brains were fried.. I decided to sleep liao SIGH. And sleep I did.. from 5 to 7am. And then they woke me up for breakfast at macs!!! WALAU I still wanna sleep!!!!
SIAN! Tmr sch starts... and thus ends all my fun. WHERE DID MY HOLIDAYS GO TO?!?!?!
