3G mania!!!

YAY!!! Finally 3G phones have arrived in Singapore!!! I've been waiting for them since like, 2 years ago??!!! Right Tie? They came out in Australia in 2003 rite!??! Sigh.. how come Singaporeans have to wait so long?!

Oh man.. I can't wait to get one!!! Sigh.. but it seems like there are no decent looking and decently priced 3G phones at the moment!! And this means I still have to wait!!!! Gosh... how I wish the service will pick up quick!! But in any case, I think this will not take long!

At first, it seems like the whole 3G service, with the teleconferencing, real time video etc will not be cheap. That's why Singtel and M1 had to use a free 3 month trial period each to attract buyers. But yesterday Singtel announced that they will charge the 3G teleconferencing service the same rate as the 2G call rates! Seems like they are really gonna push the 3G service, what with all the roadshows, major promotional events etc! Which is what happened in Australia. If I remember correctly, Tie said that the usage of 2G plans are in fact, more expensive than 3G now in Australia. So in other words, people are kinda forced to switch to 3G phones, cos the plans are so much cheaper. It makes sense. They spent far too much on developing the 3G network. If they do not popularise it, they will never be able to earn back the amount they invested.

So, in a few years, I believe, mobile communication will be redefined! Instead of merely chatting, we will be looking at each other in the face! Just like we are talking to each other face to face! And whenever u feel bored, all u have to do is download a few movie clips into your phone and watch them on the move! And internet surfing using your mobile will be totally revolutionized! The speed will match up to that of your ADSL cable at home or even better! The storage space of your mobile will also be bumped up to match, so u can download more stuff into your phone!

Yeah! So all those people out there still thinking of buying 2G phones now, I urge u to reconsider. If u do not find a 3G phone that u like at this moment, wait till u find one. Do not go buy any 2G phones now! Totally not worth it. For those who actually take note of the phone prices these few days, u will find that the prices of 2G phones have dropped at a ridiculous rate in a short period of time. A phone that cost about S$600+ one or two weeks ago cost probably only abt S$ 300+ now. They are trying to get rid of the 2G stocks so they can bring in more 3G phones!

As for 3G phones, at the moment, there are abt five popular 3G phone models being sold at Singtel. Motorola A1000, Motorola E1000, Nokia 6680, Sony Ericsson Z1010 and LG U8100. One more to be launched soon, Samsung Z107. Motorola E1000 seems to be the cheapest of the lot at the moment, but I personally do not recommend that. The specialty of 3G lies in its moving pictures, like during teleconferencing or when watching real time video. However the screen of Motorola E1000 is far too small for u to enjoy watching these moving pictures. LG U8100 is a better choice at the moment. It's also relatively cheap (for a 3G phone) and because of the clamshell design, it is able to fit in a larger screen.

Yeah! But if it were me, I would say, wait till there are more choices, then make a more well-informed decision as to which phone to buy! Which is what I'm gonna do! Hope I do not have to wait too long before the full force of the 3G phone influx will be unleashed on us! *eagerly salivating* :p

紅顏薄命：「太極旗飄揚」(Brotherhood) 女主角李恩宙自殺身亡

22/2/05「太極旗飄揚」女主角李恩宙自殺死亡
以韓劇「火鳥」及電影「太極旗飄揚」等多部影視作品走紅的南韓女星李恩宙，今天被發現在家中吊頸自殺。
下午一時十分左右，李恩宙(李恩珠)的哥哥在家中發現她的屍體後立即報警。據悉，當時李恩宙以腰帶懸吊在衣物間的移動式衣架上，已經死亡。警方初步調查指出，李恩宙於今天清晨六時還曾與同住的母親和哥哥聊天，然後回到自己的房間，到下午一時一直沒有動靜，李恩宙的哥哥感覺有些可疑，進入其房間後發現了她的屍體。警方在李恩宙的房間裏發現了削鉛筆的刀，並且在刀上也發現了血跡，死者的手腕上也留有試圖自殺的痕跡。廿五歲的李恩宙的房間裏還發現了以鮮血寫下的遺書，遺書上寫上：「媽媽，對不起，我愛你。」
據李恩宙家屬透露，李恩宙在拍完於去年十月份上映的影片「紅字」後，一直被影片中的暴露表演所困擾，患了失眠症，每天只能睡一個小時，還因憂鬱症去醫院接受過治療。

24/2/05 韓群星哀悼李恩宙
【明報專訊】雙料自殺的南韓女星李恩宙，昨日舉行喪禮，遺體將火化。南韓不少藝人也往醫院設置的靈堂向李恩宙作最後道別。李恩宙前日割脈吊頸自殺，24歲便結束生命叫人婉惜。李恩宙遺體在下午3時入棺，約有10名親友參加，往靈堂致祭藝人不斷。昨日靈堂為李恩宙痛哭的不但是李恩宙的母親與家人，她的母親在靈堂上更一度激動得暈倒。
曾與李恩宙合作電影《情約笨豬跳》的李秉憲，在靈堂上坐了兩小時，一直沉默不語。宋允兒、金素妍與嚴智媛等離開靈堂時，有掩臉痛哭要人相扶，宋允兒更是淚落滿臉，說不出話來，令人感心酸。昨日到靈堂拜祭的還有安在旭、韓石圭、Eric、安聖基等。昨日喪禮後，她的家人今日亦為李恩宙在所屬的教會舉行彌撒。

李恩宙自殺身亡引起很大的震撼，醫院高層公布李恩宙是自殺，而警方亦將案件列自殺案處理。李恩宙留下遺書，有傳她在死前曾跟一位親密的姐姐通電話。她患抑鬱症而自殺，不過外界揣測多多。有傳李恩宙在電影《朱紅文字》的裸露成抑鬱的主因。昨日她所屬公司發言人就傳聞澄清，表示她拍攝的電影與她的病沒有關係。據稱李恩宙也未受工作壓力，因為洽談中的工作還包括電影與電視劇，一個三億韓寰的廣告合約，她也被選中。
為悼念李恩宙，她為化妝品牌所拍的廣告安排停播。化妝品公司發言人稱，體恤李恩宙家人的心情，故中斷播放李恩宙主演的廣告。

李恩宙自殺留有血遺書。內容是向母親道歉，而信的內容也是斷斷續續，她在死前寫下遺書，相信心情也很混亂。遺書部分內容﹕「不知道這一切的人怎麼能知道我心中之苦……」、「為了媽媽我應該繼續活，但是活也沒有意義……我討厭人與人之間的交往，已經完全喪失了自尊心，我再也不想這樣……」短短24年的生命，她選擇結束，李恩宙香消玉殞。

【東方日報專訊】韓國女星李恩宙前日於京畿道城南市的寓所內雙料自殺，當地警方已證實死因無可疑，然而其自殺動機卻眾說紛紜，令事件變得更加撲朔迷離。
前晚開始，李炳憲、安在旭、車太鉉、文根英、金喜善、金素妍及安聖基等圈中人，先後前往停屍間向李恩宙致祭，曾合演《向左愛向右愛》的孫藝珍今晨亦趕及送舊拍檔最後一程。此外，早前被「Ｘ檔案」直指跟李恩宙因合作電影《太極旗飄揚：生死有情》而傳緋聞的導演姜帝圭，昨午亦有現身。
李恩宙母親昨日嚎哭近四十分鐘，期間由李恩宙的圈中好友Sea攙扶，李母最終不支送院急救。而Sea亦過度傷心而弄致耳朵發炎，流出膿水。她透露李恩宙自殺前曾跟她聯絡，電話中李恩宙已有異樣，並表示望能跟Sea見面。
依照韓國傳統，白頭人送黑頭人是要將屍體火化，才得以令死者安息，李恩宙家人最終決定採火葬儀式；而警方則表示不會解剖遺體，讓她今早能安心上路。

【東方日報專訊】韓國女星李恩宙的喪禮昨晨舉行，遺體隨即火化，骨灰安放在京畿道高陽市自由路的「清雅公園」。李恩宙的家人及好友選了一張李恩宙笑容燦爛的照片作遺照，祈望她能安心上路。
李恩宙的喪禮於韓國時間昨晨七時開始，地點在擺放其遺體的醫院。曾跟李恩宙合作的元斌、張東健、李炳憲、孫藝珍、韓石圭及前度男友金正憲均有到場，李恩宙生前十分照顧的文根英，則強忍淚水宣讀悼詞。
李恩宙的喪禮分三部分進行，先是追悼儀式，出席者包括近百名李恩宙的圈中好友，接由李恩宙影迷會的人員朗讀追悼詞，最後由她的前男友金正憲及事務所工作人員等扶靈，將靈柩送往百濟火葬場火化。喪禮期間李恩宙的家人及生前好友都相當悲痛，哭得死去活來，場面感人。

關於李恩宙自殺動機，外界連日來都有各種揣測，不同的八卦消息可謂層出不窮，除了指李恩宙自殺是因胞兄失業、母親爛賭而欠下巨款外，亦有指李恩宙是因整容失敗以致自尋短見。
對於各種說法，李恩宙的好友及事務所均予否認。而目前身在台灣的變性韓星河利秀，對李恩宙之死亦深表惋惜，並直斥今次罪魁禍首乃「Ｘ檔案」，認為爆料者應負上責任，至於李恩宙影迷為偶像設立的追悼網頁，瀏覽人次已逾廿萬。

Army kias are going mad!!!

Army is driving those army kias mad!!! Particularly those sergeants!! Those with the hokkien pings as their men!! People like Tan Jian Liang and Kenneth!!! Grrr...

Just a few days ago, Kenneth msged Jing, JX and me telling us that his men wanna know us!! Said that his men wanna know intellectual girls!! Ask us if he can give them our number!! He's going mad!! Lucky he still has enough sanity to ASK before he gave them our phone numbers! Which is more than what I can say for old Guan last time lar. Anyway back to Kenneth.. yar.. I mean, we are intellectual girls that's true, but that's beside the point :P... yeah anyway madness deserves mad replies.. we juz told him our hokkien not power enough to communicate with his men.. yet he insistently wanted to intro them to us!!! I think them army kias really too damn deprived of entertainment.. keep disturbing us to entertain themselves!!!

And yes!! Tjl too!! Yesterday he msged saying that his friend from army wanna noe us too!!! Madness!!! As if they were not mad enough last time in Hwa Chong lar!! Army is driving insane TCHS and HC kias to greater insanity!!! Think they either too deprived of female presence or too deprived of entertainment, use us to entertain themselves!!! Sianzzzzz.... Think even Weijian is less deprived despite maintaining his celibacy for almost 2 years now.. hehe.. can go be monk..

Sigh.. talking about being a monk reminds me about hair... and being reminded of hair makes me juz a little teeny bit sad.. haha. Yesterday my grandma asked me for the first time in almost 2 decades how come I cut my hair so short. Haha.. I think this is the first time she realised I cut my hair!!! Last time she would be saying the opposite.. whenever I told her I juz cut my hair, she would say, " Waste of money only.. can't even see that your hair looks shorter..." Sigh.. did I cut my hair too short?!? It's only shoulder length!!!! Anywayz, no point in feeling sad.. haha. I can't possibly glue my hair back rite?!? Yeah.. anyway I think short hair looks cooler.. especially now with the weather in Singapore being the hottest in 29 years!!! Up to 34 degree celsius everyday!!!!

SHORT-TERM ENTHUSIASM

The story is told of a minister who was full of energy and enthusiasm for the Lord.
One day he went to the hospital to visit one of his parishioners who was critically ill. The minister entered the room and saw the man lying in bed with a whole host of tubes and wires attached to his body. Without any delay the minister strode to his bedside and began to exhort him to be of good cheer.
Soon the man started to wave his arms. This encouraged the minister, and so he exhorted him more and more enthusiastically. Finally the minister ended with a rather lengthy prayer. At the final "Amen"the minister opened his eyes just in time to see the man reach for a pad of paper and a pencil. Quickly he wrote something and handed it to the minister. Then the man turned his head and died.
The minister was deeply moved to think that his visit to this man had occurred in the nick of time. Then he looked at the pad and read these words: "You are standing on my oxygen tube."

Letter from Korea!

Oh! Yesterday I received a new snail mail from Na yon! For those who dunno, she's my Korean penpal. Yep! Last time she sent me the new Se7en cd all the way from Korea! Yeah.. cos she knows I find Se7en cool. And oh man.. the cd was juz so great! Fantastic! Juz so Se7en.. the whole cd is infested with R & B songs... oh and btw, the title of the cd is Must Listen.. yeah.. so Must Listen to Se7en! Hee.. for those who wanna borrow the cd from me juz drop me an email! Will be very glad to propagate Se7en Propaganda!
Oh wait.. back to Na yon. Yep! Anyway, after she sent me the letter, I racked my brain trying to think of what cds she might like, what cds to send to her. Sigh.. it was really a tough job. But since she asked me to intro nice chinese songs to her, I gotta do the job well! Yeah! So in the end, I chose S.H.E and Mayday cds to send to her! Hehe.. well, at least I think it was a great choice cos I felt those cds were nice!
And yesterday I received her letter again.. she sent me yet another cd, this time the latest album of Lena Park! The 4th song of the album is the hit.. yeah.. and once again, her choice didn't fail me! She sent me chocolates too.. all the way from Korea!! Sigh.. now the chocolate addict in me is acting up again.. don't be surprised if the next time u see me, I've grown to double my size, having been fed all the Chinese New Year cookies for the past few weeks, and now, all the chocolates that somehow seem to have appeared from nowhere in my fridge.. (not juz those from Korea, there are lots more for which I don't even know their origin!) Oh.. and of cos those chocolates JX got for me from UK.. haha.. this week is multicultural-choc-week for me!!

Anyway, now I have a problem again!! Sigh.. what present should I send her this time round?? Any suggestions?? For cds? Gifts? Chocolates? Email me your suggestions for a free chocolate! :p

1. While driving with my daughter and her husband, I noticed that the woman in the car ahead of us had a rather odd vanity plate. "That's weird," I said, pointing to it. "Why would anyone want to boast about mold on their car?"
"Call me crazy," said my son-in-law after deciphering the phrase, "but I believe that reads 'FUN-GAL.'"

2. A guy walks into a store to buy brains. He asks the woman behind the counter how much each of the brains cost. The saleswoman tells him, "$5/gram for women's brains, $20/gram for dog's brains, and $100/gram for men's brains." So the guy is surprised with the varying prices, and he asks the saleswoman, "How come men's brain's are so much more expensive than women's brains or dog's brains?" And the saleswoman replies, "Are you kidding!? Do you know how many men it takes to get a gram of brains?"
KS: hehe.. no offense to all men reading this!

3. The third grade was being given a course in first aid. The question was asked, "What would you do if you had a younger sibling who swallowed a house key?" After a pause, one of the students answered, "I'd climb through the window!"

4. An eccentric philosophy professor gave a one question final exam after a semester dealing with a broad array of topics. The class was already seated and ready to go when the professor picked up his chair, plopped it on top of his desk and wrote on the board: "Using everything we have learned this semester, prove that this chair does not exist." Fingers flew, erasers erased, notebooks were filled in furious fashion. Some students wrote over 30 pages in one hour attempting to refute the existence of the chair. One member of the class however, was up and finished in less than a minute. Weeks later when the grades were posted, the rest of the group wondered how he could have gotten an "A" when he had barely written anything at all. His answer consisted of two words: "What chair?"

Hehe.. a laugh a day keeps the troubles away.

Coffee!!

Yep! That's right! Coffee!! I'm a 100% coffee addict!! Let's see.. when did my addiction start? Was it during my secondary school days? Or was it my JC days? Yeah.. in any case it was during a time when all I did was mug mug mug and mug.. and I needed coffee to stay awake thru late in the night to mug.. yeah.. at my peak I could drink up to 3 or 4 cups a day!! But now basically coffee has lost it's effect on me.. I'm relying on tea now. But anyway, that period of addiction has trained my taste for coffee so well that I've made it my lifelong ambition to search for great coffee!!!

Yesterday, I tried the Weasel coffee at the Vietnamese cafe in NUS while studying with Jing and JX. Yeah.. the weasel coffee.. what's that!? Hmm.. according to this The New Paper report, it's made from quality coffee beans that are extracted from weasel droppings. Yep u got that right.. weasel droppings. Weasels eat the coffee beans from the coffee plants, and cos the beans are so hard to digest the partially digested beans juz get excreted out with the droppings. Then the bean farmers will go around searching for beans in weasel droppings. Yep.. doesn't it juz make ur hair stand!? Apparently the partial digestion by the weasel's stomach seems to make the coffee better tasting or something.. in any case, I really forgot if the ones they sell at NUS are authentic weasel coffee. All I know is it's one of the only 2 cafes selling weasel coffee in Singapore. At least at the time the report was published. So back to the coffee.. I drank it cold.. but guess what.. even in the preparation of the cold coffee u can see that it's really stringent. They prepare cold coffee using the filter, and not like, juz add ice to the hot coffee that they brew like in coffee bean etc.. that's what I call quality coffee.. the taste of the beans will come thru the coffee better that way. And my conclusion for the overall taste of the coffee is--Great!!! Even JX, who dun drink any coffee, thinks it smells great.. and that smells coming from COLD and not HOT coffee.. yeah.. that juz proves how fragrant the coffee is. And it's not even as expensive as coffee bean! It costs juz $2.40 in NUS (with the student discount). So if u are from NUS and u dun even have a clue that the coffee the Vietnamese Cafe brews is so special, go try it now!

Another place with really nice coffee in Singapore is at Suntec city. Along the stretch of shops leading to Carrefour, there's this ice cream shop called Gelare. Dun think just of the ice cream, cos the coffee there tastes great as well!! The last time I went there with my aunt and baby cousins and my grandma, I chose to have the coffee rather than the ice cream while my aunt chose the peach smoothie. Of cos, like all kids, my baby cousins chose ice cream. But that aside, let's come back to the coffee there. Well, since it's primarily an ice cream place, I really did not expect much of its coffee. Thot of juz drinking it for fun. However, juz the first sip sent my taste buds to heaven. It's sooo fragrant and nice!!! And I dun even know what brew they used! So next time u have time to drop by there, please do try their coffee! And remember to help me ask what brew they use yeah? :)

浪客劍心

Also known as Samurai X, this is by far the comic I like best. Oh.. I love the Meiji era setting, I love the samurai code of conduct-Bushido, I love the fighting, the martial arts, the use of a reverse blade sword, the never-say-die attitude, and of cos the cute cute Sanosuke 左之助 who always has either a fish bone or a stalk of grass stuck in his mouth. I love the way he fights with his bare fists, and how he manages to win all the time despite not having a weapon. Well, not saying Kenshin is no good. He's pretty great too.. managing to defeat all his opponents with his reverse blade sword, without killing a single one. The story got pretty dark in the middle, when Kenshin's ex-brother-in-law came and took Kaoru away, giving Kenshin the impression that she was dead. Kenshin lost all hope and gave up trying to maintain peace in Japan, chosing to live desolately in the slums with a group of people who could not keep up with the Meiji Restoration. Yeah.. but in the end, Kenshin found out that Kaoru was possibly not dead and finally managed to defeat his ex-brother-in-law anyway.

Those who don't read comics or watch animes probably do not understand why I would think this way.. but in any case, I was super infatuated with Kenshin and Sanosuke for the whole period of time I was reading this comic. They are sooo cool!!! Yeah.. infatuation with comic characters does not make u a weirdo k.. It juz proves that the comic artist is really great and can draw really well!!!

Yeah.. talking about that artist, he now has a new comic! 武裝煉金! In the process of reading the 3rd book now. In Singapore, currently, for the Singaporean version, up to the 5th book of the series had been published. Yeah.. but recently too busy with work, didn't read very fast. And dun wanna read it so fast either.. cos I dun like the feeling of waiting for the next book. If I read it too fast, by the time the next book comes out, I would have forgotten what happened in the previous book, which means I would have to read it again! Makes no sense, does it?

Oh right.. I bet anyone who's reading this is juz waiting for the most important part now.. what this comic is all about! Yeah.. this comic basically, is about a typical high school boy, who gets killed by a monster while trying to save a girl from the monster. This girl is actually a saviour with superpowers given by some special metal 煉金, and in return for this boy 武藤和树's saving of her life, she imparted skills of the special metal to him. And he joined her league to defeat all these monsters who were created by an inventor of 煉金術 determined to take over the world. Yeah.. so.. feeling the temptation to go get this comic this very minute?? Do it now!!!

Another comic that I've been meaning to buy, but due to shortages of finances, have been putting aside, is Deathnote, or 死亡日记. Heard it's pretty good. And yet another one is 最遊記 Reload. Caught the anime one day on board 179 home from NTU, on TV mobile. I've yet to find out which is the exact channel showing it. It's not kids central.. I dunno which channel.. it's so frustrating! So I came up with this great idea of juz going to get the VCD straight! I mean, in this way, I can like, chiong all the episodes in one day! Ok.. that's exaggerating.. maybe 2 days.. yeah.. but my point is, juz getting the vcd will solve all problems of trying to find what channel is broadcasting the anime! Right?? So one day, I happily went to Tiong Bahru Plaza.. thinking maybe 40 or 50 bucks is enough for me to buy the whole series.. yeah... what a fool I am. Ok.. yeah one set of VCD costs about 40 bucks that's right. But guess what, those wily distributors juz had to split that nice complete series up into like, 4 or 5 sets of VCDs!! That's the trend now isn't it.. like, the first set of VCDs for a certain idol drama, then after 1 or 2 weeks, the second set etc.. yeah.. and guess what.. the price of each SET of vcds (maybe about 5 episodes?) cost the same as what the entire SERIAL in vcd form used to cost!!! So in effect now the distributors are earning like, 4 to 5 times as much as they did before! And their excuse? They had to release the VCDs set by set cos in the native country showing the drama, the drama was not completely broadcasted yet. Oh.. what nerve they have.. if u r like the fool I was, went to buy some of these drama vcds, u will realise that these vcds are juz basically obtained by recording the drama straight from tv! Shoppaholic Takes Singapore

Yeah.. that's right.. Shoppaholic takes Singapore. No.. no I'm not talking about that Bloomwood girl in the Shoppaholic books.. I'm talking about I, me and myself.. Sigh.. think I'm gonna become bankrupt if I go on like this.. And I didn't even realise that it's becoming an addiction! haha.. until Wendy and Tie Han informed me. Hmm.. does buying a pair of Fila shoes (not sports shoes, it's the ballet style shoes) costing roughly 48 bucks make me a shoppaholic? I mean, it's an absolute must have! Besides, it was on sale! Costs originally 78 bucks! And the material's really good! Absorbs sweat and all, basically it functions like a pair of sports shoes but manages to look great despite. And the most important reason why I bought it is, I can wear it for Lab lessons and I do not have to wear socks with it, unlike my Converse pair! Yeah.. sounds like a great reason to get it rite?
Yep. And in the morning I got a pair of sunglasses. It provides 100% UV protection! AND it was on sale too!! 40% off! What a waste if I do not buy it right? It costs juz 58 bucks! down from 98 bucks! (if I remember correctly). Yeah.. my reason for buying it? Well, I would need a good pair of sunglasses when I drive rite? I mean, I know I haven't exactly gotten my license, but u see, we have to plan ahead! What if one day, after I got my license, I decide to drive, and there was this huge sun shining down on me?! My vision would be obstructed by the bright glare! It would be dangerous to drive like that! I HAVE to have that pair of sunglasses. Besides, it looks cool on me... :)

Yeah.. that's the new channel 8 drama showing every weekend from 7-9 p.m. After watching the trailer, I was really quite anticipating it! As u know, I love everything related to martial arts. Dramas, comics, movies, even songs! But recently, due to having too much activities, my tv time has been cut short, until juz now. I decided it's time for tv break! So with great joy and anticipation, I turned on the tv!! Damnit.. Even that Stephen Chow movie 功夫 was better than it... at least that movie was funnier. This drama really started off kinda crappy.. but anyway it's juz the first 2 episodes.. and there's a cute China actor inside.. (oh I'm dead.. I'm starting to develop this fetish for China kias) yeah.. so enough reason for watching the next few episodes. Will decide whether to axe it after that. Axe=stop watching.
Talking about tv.. read the newspapers today and saw this ad, for an anime that's showing over Kids Central every wednesday to friday at 11pm. (No, not Naruto). Seems nice.. anyone who's watched it can tell me the story? Hehe...

Constantine

Day before yesterday, on Friday, it was officially the last day of school before the mid term break! Yay!!! So my friends and I decided to celebrate it in style! And that meant organising a class outing!!! Ok.. so 4 people ktv-ing and after that 3 people watching midnight Constantine is not exactly a class outing given a class of 50 people.. hey but come on.. let's be positive k.. think positive.. at least the few people bother to go for the mini-class-outing.. yeah.. and there wasn't enough time to inform more people about it.. so yep.. next class outing will be better k? Let's think big.. k.. let's make it a chalet!! yeah.. force everyone to pay for it.. then think most people will go.. if not, then juz let the few who bother to attend enjoy the whole chalet!! yay!! Ok.. back to the mini-class-outing. So who went? KTV: Yingjie, Tingfeng, Wingyan, me.. Movie: Kayan, Shuhui, me. Ok.. so the number is not exactly staggering.. but we all enjoyed ourselves anyway! Yeah.. and too many people going for KTV will only lead to a mike fight.. not exactly a good way to have a class outing isn't it? Yeah.. and the greater the number of people who went for the midnight constantine, the greater the number of people who will know how embarassing I look when I'm scared outta my wits.. with my barely held back scream.. haha. And of cos, they will also know how I look with a nosebleed and drooling all over the place: Keanu-induced.

Oh let's talk about Keanu. haha.. that movie was juz so great!!! Maybe it's juz Keanu.. yeah.. how does he manage to look so cool even after passing the 40 year mark?? This should be made illegal.. damn.. he's old enough to be my father.. what do u call the opposite of paedophiles? erm.. oldfolkphile? haha.. oh but at least I'm not like, totally infatuated with Richard Gere.. that guy is old enough to be my granddaddy. Yeah.. but apparently some of my friends find him cool.. yeah.. talk about the attraction of maturity.. haha.. oh wait.. back to the movie.
Yeah.. oh my god.. though I muz admit, I'm really quite a scaredy cat, recently, few movies seem to be scaring me.. the greatest letdown of all being Seed of Chucky.. a total comedy. Yeah.. which is why I'm desperately searching for a movie which can scare me outta my wits.. to relive my scaredy cat days.. haha.. found it in Constantine. It's scary in the sense that, u dun expect when the demons will strike!!! It's not like some horror movies, they use a lot of sound effects etc to scare and frighten, but in Constantine, one minute it seems like u have already beaten the bad guy from hell, and the next there his master is tearing u apart or trying to make use of ur body to come into this world to wreak havoc. The horror lies in the fact that u dunno what to expect next! And there's a twist! In the form of a mentally-ill half-breed angel Gabriel. Who would expect her to be the one in cahoots with the son of the Demon King?! This movie is really dark.. yeah but it's still cool! And the Demon king is actually the fallen angel Lucifer!! Haha.. Yeah.. oh btw, add to the must-watch reasons the Keanu factor. He's so freakin cool! And dashing! And yes, the producers managed to squeeze into the movie some humor, like that part where he said he was "thinking" if Angela has to take off all her clothes.. haha.. and all that adds to making him all the more swoon-worthy. *wipes saliva*.. It all seems like the perfect blockbuster.. until that part where they had to make it so corny the whole effect is destroyed.. the part where Lucifer stuck his hands into Constantine's lungs to remove all the tar from the cigarettes he smoked, and let him live again. Totally unforgivable, even if it's juz so they can try to arrange for a sequel if response is good. Sigh.. oh well.. guess Keanu didn't have a say in that one..

Oh movie over.. It was 2.45 a.m. I barely managed to struggle home, taking the Night Rider from Marina Square to River Valley Rd. I turn suspiciously looking at all the empty seats beside me, and also look upon the shadows of the trees outside the bus windows with great fear.. are all the demons from hell waiting there?!? Haha.. managed to reach home in one piece.. yeah.. didn't lose a single limb to any demon... Constantine must have been protecting me.. haha.

I'm juz a typical Singaporean girl, who struggled thru my O and A levels, and am currently enjoying the relative serenity of university life.
